Purchasing insurance online involves three main steps, as outlined below:
View information and place an order
Visit the website, find an insurance product that meets your needs, review the product details, and click the [Buy Now] button to begin entering your information and placing the order.
Enter the required information, view the premium, adjust terms and conditions to modify the premium if desired, and then proceed to the payment step.
Payment
BIC currently supports two payment methods for customers purchasing insurance via the website:
Direct cash payment: This method applies only to motor vehicle physical damage insurance and policies with a total order value exceeding 5 million VND. If you choose this option, a BIC representative will visit your specified location to issue the Insurance Certificate and collect the cash payment.
Prepayment: This payment method applies to all other products. With this method, you are required to transfer the payment to BIC's account first; the Insurance Certificate will be issued only after the payment has been received. BIC currently supports the following prepayment methods:
- Online payment via domestic ATM card
- Online payment via credit/debit card
- Online payment via Got It e-voucher
- Payment via the ZaloPay app
- Online payment via bank transfer to a designated account (Bao Kim)
Delivery of the Insurance Certificate
Once you have placed your order and selected a payment method (and completed payment, if prepaying), BIC will issue the Insurance Certificate in one of the following ways:
Direct home delivery: If your order value exceeds 5 million VND or you have purchased motor vehicle physical damage insurance, you may choose to pay in cash and have the Insurance Certificate delivered to your home. A BIC representative will visit your requested address to issue the Insurance Certificate and collect the cash payment.
Sending the Insurance Certificate: In other cases, BIC will send the Insurance Certificate via one of the following two methods:
- Express delivery of a hard copy: If the Certificate is only available in hard copy format (e.g., motorcycle or automobile civil liability insurance) or if you specifically require a hard copy (e.g., for a travel visa application), BIC will send the Insurance Certificate to you via express delivery as soon as possible.
- Sending an electronic copy via email: If the Insurance Certificate does not require a hard copy and you have not requested one, BIC will send the electronic Insurance Certificate to your registered email address. You can receive the electronic Insurance Certificate immediately after paying the premium. BIC recognizes the electronic Insurance Certificate as having the same validity as a hard-copy Certificate bearing the stamp and signature of an authorized BIC representative.
